TNC Recordings is a specialist label dedicated to preserving and reissuing rare, out-of-print, and archival performances across contemporary classical, chamber music, and jazz. The label’s catalog brings together historic live performances, studio rarities, and curated projects that connect performers, scholars, and collectors to otherwise inaccessible recordings
TNC Recordings grew out of Troppe Note Recordings’ affiliation with Cambria Master Recordings in the 1990s and has since operated as a focused imprint for carefully curated releases and archival projects
Virko Baley (born 1938) is a Ukrainian‑American composer, conductor, pianist, and former Distinguished Professor of Music whose long career spans composition, conducting, and record production. Through TNC and related partnerships he has produced a series of compact discs documenting rare performances — notably archival recordings of Sviatoslav Richter and projects featuring the Cleveland Chamber SymphonyWikipedia. Baley’s work as a recording co‑producer was recognized with a Grammy Award in 2007
TNC’s discography covers a wide range of repertoire and performers, from contemporary chamber cycles and modern violin repertory to jazz and orchestral releases. The label’s listings include multi‑volume projects and single‑artist anthologies by names such as Oleh Krysa, Valentin Bibik, the Kiev Camerata, and numerous jazz artists, alongside curated releases documenting historic broadcasts and live concerts.
TNC’s mission is to preserve musical legacies and make them available in durable physical editions and immediate digital formats. The label supports collectors, educators, and institutions with verified-condition CD sales, archival discovery services, educational licensing, and instant digital downloads for many titles.
